       The library media center is open to students and faculty every school day from 7:30 until 3:30.  Students are scheduled to visit the library through their Language Arts and Science classes every other week but may visit at any time as long as each student has a pass from a teacher. Students may visit the library before school, at break or after school without a pass.

The Alexander Library Media Center offers the following resources to students and faculty:
  • Fully automated collection accessible from the library and each classroom
  • Almost 7,000 volumes
  • Variety of magazines for leisure reading
  • Daily local and state newspapers
  • Videos and other audio-visual resources for teacher circulation
  • A growing collection of recorded books
  • Six Internet accessible computers with word-processing capabilities
  • Channel I News
  • Cable access in classrooms
  • 20 Internet accessible laptops
  • New computer lab

The library media center sponsors the following programs:

  • Accelerated Reader
  • Teen Read Week
  • Book Fairs
  • Munch-a-Lunch Speakers
